Phonograph is an instrument which is used to record music. Some people think that, it transforms the way people listened to the music. But it has several advantages for those, cannot enjoy the live music. People can hear the same music privately in their homes, and possible to hear the same performance again and again. Phonograph was available almost everywhere, therefore it introduced music to a much wider range. European could easily hear it anywhere in the world. As result people copied it which caused social uplift. European restricted allegations on popular music because they thought; it degrades the taste of music. Historians countered the argument as; good live music was not available to millions of people. So recording companies did nothing to discourage the sale of popular recordings which largely supported their business.
